JoAnn Schinderle

JOANN SCHINDERLE is a Brooklyn-based standup, actress, and writer. Getting her start in Portland, OR she was voted PDX's Funniest Person by peers and industry, as well as an ‘Undisputable Genius of Comedy’ by local papers. Originally from WI, Schinderle will never let you forget her sturdy midwestern roots, and her relatable, yet snarky storytelling style feels like she’s your best friend letting you in on a dirty little secret. Also trained as an improviser through courses at Second City Training Center- Chicago, JoAnn creates big characters and will “yes and” the shit out of you.
Featured on Audible ‘This Sounds Like America’, VICELAND, Laughs on Fox, and the NBC Night Court Reboot, Schinderle is also a seasoned touring comic at national festivals such as; SF Sketchfest, Bridgetown, Bumbershoot, B4UDIE, & 10,000 Laughs, as well as having won multiple rounds of Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction. Schinderle has been known to win crowds over with her pervy charm.
In 2019, JoAnn wrote and produced an album of menstruation jokes titled ‘Dark Jeans', as a middle finger to the notion that 'period jokes aren’t funny'. Turns out, they are. Dark Jeans sat #1 on iTunes during the week of its release with Comedy Dynamics. Gearing up for the album recording, Schinderle toured the hour and raised over 6,000 period-product donations for local women’s shelters. Schinderle was a proud featured talking head on the 2024 MSNBC documentary 'Periodical' featuring Gloria Steinem. In her spare time, Schinderle pens commissioned erotica under her not-yet-famous company, JoJosNosNos, and has high hopes of landing her dream job of writing inspirational quotes into all of morning-after-pill product packaging.
